As bought the front bumper had been heavily scraped by the previous owner getting it out of his garage. My friend Jason painted the bumper and door mirrors which had suffered a similar fate. When I removed the bumper I found the original chrome strip bumper and overiders in the grille mouth were damaged and set about finding a solution.


A mesh grille provided the solution, I am not sure what model it was intended for but at £70 from a spares car I could not turn it down. Some careful marking out and drilling saw it sucessfully fitted to the Bumper assembly

I made some number plate brackets from an aluminium strip about 20mm wide by 5mm thick and hung the numberplate below the mouth of the grille
